Mediation Services & Dispute Resolution

Mediation is an informal, voluntary process in which a mediator facilitates negotiations between disputing parties.  The mediator’s role is to help the parties find a mutually acceptable solution to the dispute.  Mediation can be faster and less expensive than arbitration or litigation.  If the parties agree to mediate, they will not give up any right to arbitrate or litigate if they cannot reach a satisfactory settlement.

Mr. Mehan is uniquely qualified to provide sound mediation services and instruction to parties and their counsel.  Before becoming a mediator, Mr. Mehan has for 43 years represented hundreds of clients in disputes both as counsel for claimants and as counsel for respondent/defendant brokerage firms, brokers, investment advisors and their registered representatives.  Mr. Mehan is primarily an evaluative mediator who attempts to keep the parties engaged in the negotiations with a positive outlook and by accommodating the parties’ requested structure for the mediation process.
